Careers
I'm not really sure of what I want to do, maybe something with kids or media. I think being a preschool teacher would be nice because I love working with children and I think I'm patient enough to do that. I have always loved babysitting and helping out in nursery's. I know it's kind of weird because, who doesn't like kids? But I literally have NO idea what I want to do as a career, that was just a thought.

Stress, Stress, Stress!
My stress score was 13 out of 24. I am not surprised by the score and I don't feel too worried about it. What stresses me out is having lots of homework. The thing is, it's not just the homework, it's how much time I have to do it. Since we spend most of our day at school (including after school practices), we barely get enough time to do our homework and get enough sleep. Since I help with after school practices, I would sometimes get home at about 6:45. I don't want to start on homework because I haven't eaten so that takes about 5-15 minutes. On Mondays I get home around 7:15 because of dance so I have about 1.5 hours to shower and get at least 8-9 hours of sleep. In order to have enough time to do homework, I try to finish other classes' homework in other classes or I start on homework for classes that are in the morning, then if I don't have time at night to do the rest, I finish the classes that are later in the day, during lunch.

Procrastination Doesn't Equal Graduation
My current organizational method is a planner. I try to use it everyday so I know what homework I have. I believe that I will be on point this year. Procrastination is bad! When you procrastinate you are telling yourself that you have more time to do it, or that the due date for something is far away and you have time to wait. As time goes by, the due dates are getting closer and time gets shorter and homework/projects are being given out so you actually don't have time to finish the thing that you've been procrastinating on. This can lead into low/failing grades and stress on yourself, so don't procrastinate! In order to fight procrastination, you can set times where you will work on it or start on the project as soon as you get it.

Hola!
Hello, my name is Jessica. I am a 16 yr. old Junior. I like to dance and hang out with my youth group. I also found out that I love to travel. This summer I visited Israel with some people from church and I thought it was a really fun experience and would like to do something like that again. Throughout my years of growing up, I have always questioned what I wanted to be. A vet? Pediatrician? Teacher? Singer? Til this day I don't have any idea where or even what I want to do or go for college so I'm hoping this class will help me decide.
