Homeless 2 Harvard
I thought the film was very inspiring and could inspire people who lived in similar situations and need a push to succeed. Her story would also have such an impact because her past that lead her to go to Harvard sounds impossible so it's a very shocking life changing story. My favorite part was when Liz took Chris to school but Chris thought going to school was "not for people like them" and she didn't give it a chance. I liked it because even though she had the opportunity, she still decided not to go because she thought it wan't right or that it didn't matter (I'm not explaining this good, sorry). I think I would have been inspired to break out of how I was living and get an education, but I don't think I would have known how. So, I think it is amazing that someone can go through this and still have a drive to change their future.

I agree with your points on how the movie, Homeless to Harvard, can be a great influence to others and yourself. It was pretty amazing how she was able to change her life completely by going to school. Chris didn't give school a chance, so that is why she works at a low-paying job now. She had the opportunity, but like you said, she thought it didn't matter. Great job!
ReplyDeleteI think you mean you liked how Liz didn't let what Chris thought stop her. She could have just become another stereotype but she chose to go to college.
ReplyDeleteI agree Jessica. Many people want to be successful but wont push themselves. Liz did and that's what makes he such an inspiration.
ReplyDeleteYou made a good point about Liz not letting Chris' opinions get in her way. The was a very cool part of the movie.
ReplyDeletei agree with you on how liz didnt let chris words stop her from doing what she wanted to do.
ReplyDeleteI agree completely with your point of view on the movie. Overall, it was extremely influential to see someone endure everything she did and still want to push forward and not give up. It makes me think if someone in that situation can do it, why shouldn't I be able to?
