Why College?

What I hope to accomplish by going to college is being a more independent person and get smarter. I am going to college for myself, my parents and sister I guess.  I would feel kind of weird if I didn't go to college after high school, and since Shelby and I know a few close friends who have dropped out of college, I wouldn't want to follow in their footsteps. Some characteristics in choosing a college is the location, religious preferences, and its reputation. Getting feedback from other people is a great way to choosing a college that you want to go to.  I would seek input from most of my friends at church who are in college to learn about their experiences. I haven't really set any goals for myself (I should probably do that.) But, if I do, college would probably help with accomplishing them.

  1. Being in college will definitely help you become more independent. I also agree with you about feeling weird if you didn't go to college.

  2. I definitely agree that the location, religious preferences, and the college's reputation make a big difference when looking at schools to go to. Any of the three can make you change your mind pretty easily depending on your own likes and dislikes.

  3. College will help you transition into adulthood in a healthy way instead of just being thrown out into the real world not knowing what to do.

  4. College shall help you achieve your goals in life, whatever they may be. You would not need to follow the college dropouts because you have too much potential not to have a better life.
